Guided tour (KS1)
Younger pupils are invited to explore Tower Bridge's impressive high-level Walkways and magnificent Engine Rooms led by members of the Learning team. For Key Stage 2 and 3 guided tours, please click here.
Pupils will discover why Tower Bridge was built and learn how the Victorian engines used to open the Bridge.
Tower Bridge will also be used as a resource to embed other aspects of the Key Stage 1 curriculum as appropriate such as the use of tally charts to complete a traffic survey from the Glass Floor and considering different materials and their properties in the Engine Rooms.
Tours are supported with worksheets and hands on activities to help bring the Bridge to life.
