Next session: February Half Term: Super Steel and Marvellous Magnets

Date: Tuesday 18 February 2025

Time: 10:00 – 16:00

Location: Tower Bridge Learning Space

Price: Included with your ticket

Did you know that the skeleton of Tower Bridge is made of 10,000 tonnes of steel, equivalent to the weight of 5400 London black cabs? Sir William Arrol was the man responsible for the Bridge’s steel framework. To celebrate Arrol's February 1839 birthday, we’re taking a closer look at steel, particularly its magnetic properties. Come and see this sturdy stuff for yourself and make a mini magnet to take home and keep.

Our activities are drop in, so no need to  book. Please note that children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
