At Tower Bridge, the safety and wellbeing of our visitors and our staff is extremely important to us.
As London’s defining landmark, we offer an inspiring visitor experience, and we have measures in place to help visitors prepare for a safe and enjoyable visit.
The safety and security of our visitors to Tower Bridge is paramount.
Our trained security and welcome hosts are on site to assist you and will happily talk to you during your visit. They are here to keep visitors safe and sound in order to enhance the experience.
Please cooperate fully with all security checks and support these vital members of our team as they carry out important work to keep us all safe.
We currently operate a 100% searching policy meaning all bags belonging to visitors are subject to search.
On arrival, your bag search will occur and will be carried out by our trained security staff. Visitors are advised to allow additional time for security checks.
Items will be seized if they pose a possible threat, harm, or risk to visitors, staff or the attraction.
Please note as our visitor experience involves leaving the Bridge to walk to the Engine Rooms, your bag is subject to a second search on entry to the Engine Rooms.
Please note we operate a 100% searching policy meaning all bags are subject to search on arrival. We allow shoulder bags and backpacks with maximum dimensions 45 x 35 x 20 cm. Suitcases, wheeled bags and oversize items will not be allowed in the Bridge.
We do not restrict the use of prams, pushchairs or wheelchairs within the spaces but these may also be subject to search.

There are the security measures you can see and of course the ones you can’t. We monitor the Bridge each and every day and all our staff are trained to ensure all our visitors have a safe, secure and enjoyable experience.
We work very closely in partnership with the City of London Police, the Metropolitan Police Service and members of the security services to ensure our security procedures are up to date and following best practice.
We also engage with the City of London Police on Project Servator and continuously focus on delivering a safe and secure environment.

We remind all visitors that you have an important role to play by reporting anything that doesn't feel right, for example, an unattended item or someone acting suspiciously.
You’ll never get into trouble for reporting a genuine concern and we’ll always take your report seriously.
If you see something suspicious, please tell a member of our staff who are positioned at various locations outside and throughout the visitor attraction.
